Obedience Board and Train Hybrid Program

The 3-Week Obedience Board and Train Hybrid Program is perfect for the responsible dog owner who wants a well-behaved professionally trained dog. We set a strong foundation with the fundamentals of obedience. Your dog is trained multiple times per day every day. We do the hard part, and when your pup gets home, you simply have to reinforce the training.

This program is designed to give your dog a structured environment for learning. The focus is on gaining strong basic obedience with lasting results. Training is meant to develop communication, set rules and boundaries, and teach your dog to look to you for direction.

Our goal is to provide you and your dog the absolute best service possible. We do not run a big kennel operation where your dog is just a number. We purposefully take on a limited number of clients at a time to ensure each dog gets all the attention they need during their stay. We know it can be hard to separate from your loved companion, but rest assured they will receive lots of love and praise while they are away.

Seattle is a very dog-friendly city, so you should be able to enjoy it with your four-legged friend. To ensure your dog knows how to behave in public, as well as at home, we will take them on training trips to parks, shopping centers, restaurants, and other public spaces where other dogs may roam. Throughout the program, your dog will basically live by our side. Wherever we go, so will they.

YOUR DOG WILL LEARN:

• Sit

• Down – Lay down

• Come – Recall

• Heel – Loose leash walking at side

• Place – Dog goes to an elevated defined area until released

• No – Discipline for unwanted behaviors such as excessive barking, jumping on people, digging, etc.

• Door manners – No bolting through doors/gates

• Potty training – A foundation of going to potty outside is set during program

• Stay – Dog learns with stationary commands Sit, Down, Place. They are to ‘stay’ until released. The word ‘stay’ isn’t used it’s inherent to stationary commands.

At the completion of their Board & Train Program your dog will be delivered to you with a new set of skills and a focus you may not have thought possible. We will take the time to discuss all of what they have learned, and you will receive the tools necessary to ensure all the hard work they put in lasts the rest of their life. After their homecoming, we will schedule a follow-up meet after a week or two to check in and answer any questions that might have come up.
